If I Stay by Gayle Forman

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
If You Like: Suspenseful storylines, life changing novels, quick and easy reads, a good cry
Similar to: Sarah Dessen novels, The Choice by Nicholas Sparks
Ages: 13-100

I was planning on going to bed, when I immersed myself in this story instead.  This quick read really is a gem of a book.  It's actually kind of funny because this book is really similar to the book I read last which was The Choice by Nicholas Sparks.  Both books are good, but each one is special in its own way.

If I Stay, is a memoir of the life of a seventeen year old Cellist, Mia, who finds everything she has ever known has changed in an instant.  When a car accident puts Mia in a coma, she must choose between living without her family, or dying and leaving behind the love of her life, Adam, and her promising future as a musician.  Will she go, or will she stay?

This book is great for readers of all ages because it really does help you to understand how valuable life really is, and in the end, what choices really matter the most in life.
