This is a beautiful piece of work about a terminally ill girl who falls in love with a one legged boy. It's another one of those cancer stories, but the charcters have such a different outlook on life that they are different from the charcters of other cancer stories. This story is honest and real, and Augustus and Hazel's love isn't perfect, but it's their kind of perfect. They know that they aren't going to live forever, but they count the good days and make every moment count. Most of us never live a day with that mindset because we're always rushing to do what we feel like we have to do, and we never really stop to notice the little things. For Hazel and Augustus, every day was full of the little things.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good novel. It's one of those ones that I feel like I've read before, but the story comes from the witty and hilarious Hazel, and she is what makes this book so different and so special. Grab your tissues and get ready for the roller coaster of emotions this book will take you on.
